RECAP- In their first divisional match-up since rejoining the SELC the ospreys got their first win of the season. #22 Kamryn Medvec got the offense going with the first goal of the game, but an illegal stick penalty stunted the ospreys offense and led to four man up goals by the cougars giving them their largest lead of the game at 6-2. Freshman #20 Davis Pittenger got the ospreys comeback started with a feed from #2 Alec Noble to make it 7-4 at the half.

After halftime adjustments the ospreys came out firing with two quick face off wins by #21 Stephan Rotolante leading to two goals. The cougars responded with a goal but that wasn't enough to stop the ospreys momentum. Going into the fourth quarter down 1 the ospreys seized the lead with a 3 goal run to go up 10-8. both teams traded goals to make it 11-10 with 4 minutes left in the game. #10 Tye McGhee took the ensuing face off leading to a monster ground ball by #11 Chucky Burgos leading to the 12th and final goal for the ospreys. After two minutes of holding the ball the ospreys left Charleston with a 12-10 Division win over the pre-season #2 team in the south division. 


#1 Christian Kouskouris picked up ten saves in the win earning player of the game and his first collegiate win. The defense was led by senior captain #13 Michael Leary with 5 ground balls and a hockey assist.
