Chants

RECAP- Day two of UNF's South Carolina road trip ended with the ospreys second division victory in as many days. On a rainy day the Ospreys rained on the Chanticleers parade with a barrage of goals coming from all over. After a slow outing against College of Charleston, senior attack man #6 Ryan Pasinski picked up the hat trick to go along with 3 assist. Freshman #20 Davis Pittenger stung some corners on the way to his second hat trick in a row, going along with 2 assist. Jacksonville University #9 Garrett Arnold led the offense with seven points on 2g, 5a earning himself MCLA D-II Commanding Performance of the week powered by Under Armour.

On a day where the Osprey offense scored 17 goals the story of the game was the dirty bird defense. After the Chanticleers tied the game at 3-3 the ospreys called a timeout and decided it was time to unleash the dogs. With suffocating rides and an aggressive defense the Chanticleers folded under the pressure allowing the Ospreys to shut them down the remainder of the first half while hanging 8 straight goals on them.  Junior defense-man #16 Zach Prince led the charge with 8 ground balls and 4 forced turnovers. LSM #24 Adam Kilby applied pressure on the wing with 5 gb's and 2 forced turnovers while defense-man #18 Nate Renner (5gbs, 2 forced turnovers) and #13 Michael Leary (5gbs, 3 forced turnovers) made life miserable for the Chanticleers attack.

Following an illegal stick penalty on the Ospreys, the Chanticleers attempted to run their man-up offense only to have the ball taken away twice leading to two man down transition goals for the ospreys. Sophomore goalie Christian Kouskouris recorded his second 10 save game of the weekend to capture the win with a .714 save percentage.

Due to the tremendous effort by the ospreys, some new players were able to make an appearance on the stat sheet including freshman goalie #17 Cameron Noble who recorded a two save shut out on over a quarter and a half of action. Freshman #27 Dayne Gill by way of Beausejour MB, Canada recorded his first two career goals to go along with an assist. Senior midfielder #4 Trey Kalin and junior midfielder #2 Alec Noble were both able to record their first goals of the season.

The North Florida Ospreys return to action February 10th against Georgia Southern looking to start 3-0 in conference play. On Sunday, February 11th the ospreys will have their home opener against the North Carolina State Wolf pack at 11 am. SWOOP
